Qualifications:

 

• B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent degree OR educational qualification from an accredited college or university.

• Degree/endorsement in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

• Strong skills in early childhood development, including the ability to meet the social and emotional needs of children, and address cognitive and academic skills in an age appropriate manner. 

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Teach a preschool class of no more than 10 students at a time.

• Set up and maintain a safe, healthy, orderly, and challenging classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with our director to prepare and implement activities.

• Communicate with parents via conferences, meetings, newsletters, emails, phone calls, etc. in order to provide continuity and communication between home and school.

• Maintain a professional relationship with parents and respect confidentiality.

• Collaborate with other staff and board members to coordinate efforts and make joint program decisions, including attending meetings and school events.

• Provide lessons to a range of learner abilities
